Slightly cosmic, bleepy underground house track with an old feel to it.

Nami - Melinda & Gatto

Too often in dance music, vocals are meaningless bullshit, but this chuggy underground house track is a story about a woman's need for her man, above meaningless consumption.  Heart-warming.

Enzo Siragusa - Desire

A really under-rated track from the east London maestro - went down an absolute storm when I played it recently.

I really like this minimal take on two-step garage - always have to admire when artists are pushing a slightly new sound.

tINI - That's Right

tINI has been a favourite of mine for a few years now.

A warm, chuggy underground glow with vocal snippets and a totally un-EDM build-up to go back to the chug.  Very tasty.  Very tINI.

Patrick Specke - Bitchual Linestepper

What is a bitchual linestepper?  A random girl that steals all your coke at the after-party?  The track is a nice underground house track, a touch floaty and dubby.

Dubstar - Anxious

Underground house dub that gently caresses the ears like a Body Shop massage cream and a hint of rattlesnake.  Sadly stops after 10 minutes - should be at least 30 minutes long.

Nastia - Maslo

A slightly dubby underground beat, stripped back with snippets of perhaps a Spanish guitar, though the brain isn't fully functionning right now.

A new artist to me - all I know about her is that she is from Ukraine.  I shall be endeavouring to find out more.

The Fumiya Tanaka remix is also worth a listen - nearly 3 times as long as the original.

&ME - Purple Rain

Gorgeous whispering underground house track.  Slightly sexy too, like an oil rig.

Whim-ee - You Can Amor (Seb Zito's JS Mix)

This is proper miserable, really quite dark and mournful underground house - almost as if it were made for a funeral or wake.  Real emotions behind this track.

Gloriously miserable.

El Prevost - Allez Ally (Shonky Remix)

Allez ally allez ally allez ally ally allez - you must have heard this surely?

But if not then this is one dirty understated monster of an underground beast, just like in Tremors.

Shonky is one brilliant producer/remixer.

Seb Zito – Never (Seb Zito & Rich NXT’s EnRichment)

A beautiful but rather sad and emotional piece of underground house by the Fuse guys.

Nightdrivers – Quanto Tempo Ci Rimane (Fabio’s Consolation Edit)

A creepy sense of alarm following outbreak of nuclear war pervades through this underground house track.  Would have been perfect for the disturbing documentary, Threads.

PS Don't watch Threads unless you are strong-minded.

tINI – Hat Baxx

This is a smash.  tINI’s usual deep, underground house, packed with subtle emotion in between the sparse percussive elements.

tINI - Turn Around

Deep, dubby and hypnotic, underground and understated groove.  I cannot get enough of the music tINI produces and plays.

Enzo Siragusa & Liefko - In My Head

I heard this track about a year ago and fell in love, especially with the story told over the fittingly emotive moody underground beats.

Enzo Siragusa can do no wrong in my book.

Seb Zito – Sunday Morning

Underground house with feeling and a sumptuous bassline.  Like chocolate gateaux with bacon wrapped around it.

tINI – Medusa Meets Jack

This is really miserable.  So miserable that I just had to make it a top tune.

T.W.I.C.E – Round & Brown (Jun Akimoto & Ittetsu Remix)

I listened to this 5 times in a row, mostly because I kept getting interrupted at work by work.  I love this slow and crawling underground house, with a slightly dark and moody sound.  Hotter than a kangaroo’s backside.  Becoming a huge fan of Ittetsu.

tINI – Room 305

It doesn’t do too much but that is the beauty of it, harmonious rounded percussion stabs and minimal vocals.
