Tom Middleton - Penrose Steps

This is a brilliant track from a brilliant musician - it is quite simple but yet very clever in the way it keeps building and building gradually.

Ricardo Villalobos – Tu Actitud

Lots of weirdness going on but it all fits together and makes sense somehow in a very Ricardo kind of way, a very charming but odd piece of minimal that I would so love to play one day.

A total delight.

Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge – Lost In A Moment

Since when did trance get good again?  Really melodic, deep stuff about coming out of the womb the wrong way around, this is as delicious as home-made apple crumble.

It will not be long before everyone catches onto trance again.

Monday, 17 December 2012

Bicep & Ejeca – You

Uplifting and modern sounding garage by two of the soon-to-be superstars of the garage-house crossover in the UK.  Probably called future garage or goose house or similar.

Thursday, 13 December 2012

Darius Syrossian – My Side Project

Funky sounding house is making some kind of comeback at the moment, and this is a superb mid-2000’s sounding track but nothing cheesy, just good quality funky house.  Who would have thought it?  See that?  It’s a f’ing tuba.

Insert comment about lady in video being an appealing side project too.

Saturday, 8 December 2012

Miss Kittin - Girlz (TINI Remix)

This could not be more descriptive of where I am musically right now.  Very stripped back minimal house groove, tINI is absolutely on fire right now both as a DJ (voted 15th in the 2012 RA poll) and as a producer.

All part of the new wave of minimal, with a rather Ricardo-esque kind of breakdown.  Love it so much.

Click Box - Body Fall

Simple build-up techno but devastating.  The techno viking would love this.

Friday, 7 December 2012

Lee Curtiss - Freaks

Oh yeah, I knew the second I clicked play I would love this, tracks about freaks are always better than monsters on crack and this really does not let anyone down with its driving bassline and intent of crazy, deep, underground house with a purpose.

And let's face it - you are a freak like me, aren't you?

Ricardo Villalobos – I’m Counting

I was doing something incredibly dull and repetitive at work and this took me into another world of squelchyness like a thin layer of custard emitting sweet smells and sounds.

Thursday, 6 December 2012

Deichkind - Leider Geil (Solomun Remix)

German Nintendo music.  Yes.  Only a small clip available on Soundcloud.  I haven't the foggiest where I discover some of these tracks sometimes.

http://soundcloud.com/solomun/deichkind-leider-geil-solomun

Tom Trago - Use Me Again (Carl Craig Remix)

I cannot say I was expecting this when I clicked play, especially after the classic techno masterpiece from Carl Craig on Saturday just gone by - but a proper full-on funky house disco kind of thing.  Girl music.

I:Cube - Transpiration

Ravey Sven track.  Ha ha.

Rhadoo - Geemac

This is like what Gordon Brown left the United Kingdom with - minimal gold.  Tish tish click warble.

Tuesday, 4 December 2012

Ricardo Villalobos - Put Your Lips

Unique squidgy minimal from the human delight that is Villalobos.  Fingers crossed Santa brings me his new album of which this is from.

Anthea - Distraction (Subb-an 5am Remix)

Love this, random noises, vocal snippets, chugging underground beats and such a groove.  Hot, totally unlike the English summer.

Friday, 30 November 2012

Massive Attack - Paradise Circus (Gui Boratto Remix)

Late night.  Alone.  In winter.  A sweeping late night beauty of a song with a delightful rumbling bassline, and a devilish woman slowly singing over the deep house kind of thing.  Sometimes I run out of words to say and this is one of those times because it is late at night and the brain is vaguely functioning enough to appreciate.

Late night beauty.

Thursday, 29 November 2012

DJ W!ld - Dream Of Me

I am really loving proper underground minimal house at the moment, with huge breakdowns where you come to the conclusion that it is never coming back in.

Delicious.

Boobs are good too.

Saturday, 24 November 2012

Solomun – Kackvogel

This guitar-laced house track is apparently the sound of Philly.  It is very cool, just like the cheese but melts at times into warm bassline vocal love.  Videos with bearded men dancing always help.

Tuesday, 20 November 2012

Guy J - Fixation

Trance is back.  I said it.  I cannot wait to get a bit of trance in my life.

But it has grown up a lot as this track will tell you and is much deeper than it's previous incarnation and this is a remix of a very well-known trance tune from the heyday - so well known I cannot remember (obviously because I have wiped my memory of trance) but even if I did I wouldn't tell you.

Don't hide - trance is here again.

Jordan Peak - What Is House?

This is very at the minute kind of garage/house crossover by an up and coming producer who is on my radar more and more all the time.

The Martinez Brothers - H 2 Da Izzo

Being hammered by Jamie Jones and Art Department - it is a pretty average unremarkable track for half of it but the synth stabs are just the definition of sick in the world of synthesisers.

Kim English - Nitelife (Alexis Raphael remix)

Perhaps this should not be remixed but I love the bassline.  End of.  And it quite amuses me.

Monday, 19 November 2012

Duke Dumont - Thunder Clap

Ooh I didn't expect this, I nearly gave up during the introduction but suddenly an almost old school kind of house track kicks in with an aggressive drum beat and some slightly cheesy "whoops" but they work as a perfect counter-balance.

Being played by Seth Troxler and Laurent Garnier.

Saarid - Future Lately (Walker & Royce Remix)

Yes all about the gorgeous rolling bassline and the drop.  Not forgetting the dogs barking.  Anyone else hear them?

Wednesday, 14 November 2012

Nathan Barato – Back Up Queen

Chunky, groovy house about a wig looking like a helmet.  Just imagine your favourite drag queen having an argument with the hand dryer in the toilets of your favourite club.

Tiga – Pleasure From The Bass (Subb-an Remix)

An upgrading and rebranding of a mid-2000’s electro classic (for those of you who don’t know, Tiga was cooler than cool circa 2004 pre-minimal), this really brings the track into a more modern, underground house world.

Tuesday, 13 November 2012

Julio Bashmore – Au Seve

This is unlike most tracks on here and definitely has a style of it's own - though with over a million views already you may have heard it!  Sick bassline, excellent melody.  And his own Radio 1 show.

Second appearance on my blog.

Wednesday, 7 November 2012

11.11 - Tourist Trap (Guy Gerber & David K remix)

You've probably heard the Jamie Jones remix which absolutely smashed it.

This takes the best parts, totally strips it down in a nice kind of chugging underground minimal house sound.  Very groovy and quite the tease.

Kate Simko – Go On Then

Really simple but a treasure to listen to.  This was a real grower and took a fair few listens for me to decide to give it 'top tune' status.  Enjoy.

Hex Complexx – I Want You (The Dash Riprock Mix)

This is a ridiculously cool house track from 25 years ago with one or two rather recognisable samples, definitely a touch of 80’s electro coolness and some jazz.  Don’t get stuff like this nowadays.

Tuesday, 6 November 2012

Phonique – Vincent Price (Dub)

Definitely a hairs standing up kind of track, smooth, melodic and deep, almost a little trance in its hypnotism.

Don’t hear too many tracks from Phonique but the quality of production never lets you down.

Saturday, 3 November 2012

DJ Slugo - Wouldn't You Like To Be a Ho Too

There's some ho's in this house, if you see them point them out.

Ghetto-tech at it's most educational and instructional.  Another one on regular play by the wonderful Nina Kraviz.  I would love to play this in somewhere full of chavs.

Friday, 2 November 2012

Mr. Gone - Do 4 Love (Radio Slave Remix)

One of those long hypnotic ever-rising techno remixes from the fantastic Radio Slave.

Quite a touch of emotion.

Dj HMC - Marauder

Uncompromising Australian techno track introduced to me via a brilliant Nina Kraviz set - not the best sound quality but the video will more than make up for it.

Wednesday, 31 October 2012

Marco Passarani - I House You

Proper sleazy electro remix of a house classic which you will recognise.

Oh and it's from 2004 so before electro went shit.

Dems – Down On You (Hemmes Fischer Remix)

This is lovely, another track with an indie style vocal and a bass guitar as part of a deep house track - would be nice to play at a sunset...ahhh Ibiza.

Sunday, 28 October 2012

Bozzwell - Ambition (My Favorite Robot Remix)

All about the deep, dark and devastating bassline on this with more suspense than a thing with suspense.

Saturday, 27 October 2012

Maurice Donovan - Call My Name

A track I heard Craig Richards play last year, I believe it samples the disco-sounds of Byron Stingily as did at least one more track he played that night before finally later on giving us an original Byron Stingily.

So apart from the sample it has a thudding beat and would sound excellent on any superb sound-system.

Top piece of house music by the man also known as Pearson Sound.

WebQueawry - Searching

Wouldn't sound out of place at a funky house night at Revolution with it's high pitched vocals and gay funky house beat but this is quite delightful and very modern sounding despite what I have just said.

Friday, 26 October 2012

Frank Weidemann & Ry Cunning – Howling (Ame Remix)

Wow.  This is a tingle down the spine track.  All set around a vocal that could very well have been swiped from an indie band, with a bass guitar and gentle beat – showing simple is beautiful.

I defy you not to love this.  Even my sister might appreciate this!

Thursday, 25 October 2012

Robag Wruhme – Brumby Kapell

This is dark, twisted and minimal like a thunderstorm in tornado alley approaching that doesn't quite deliver the goods and it only rains a little bit.  An eery finish.  In fact you could finish a mix with this and leave the listener slightly disturbed.  Excellent.

Davide Squillace – Pieces Of You

I wasn’t expecting this, a somewhat industrial sounding driving tech-house track from one of the underground stars of DC10.  This is dancefloor mustard.

Saturday, 20 October 2012

Bambounou - Fake Jake

Very hot underground house track with a recognisable vocal stab from many a few years ago, and a great bassline (not overdone)...almost a touch of garage.

Very London.

tINI – Fail Better

10 days since I last found a tune worthy of a place in my top tunes blog.

tINI is my hero of 2012, I love everything she touches and her productions are as spot on with her taste bringing a new wave of groovy minimal, this just oozes goodness like a broccoli in a blender.

Do not let my description of minimal put you off as this is very accessible.

Wednesday, 10 October 2012

Shiny Objects – Just Fabulous (Thugfucker Remix)

All about the chunky beat.  Big fat chunky beat.  Just how I like my chips.

Tuesday, 9 October 2012

Nina Soul - Relax Your Body

I just cannot get enough of this track - and those vocals send me crazy even when sat at my desk.  Really amazing underground house from a new producer from Argentina.  I just cannot say enough of how good this is.

I first heard the track on tINI's radio show back in July, taken me 3 months to work out what it was, I always assumed I would never find it but I don't like to give up when a track is THAT GOOD.

Sadly only a 4 minute snippet is available for listen but this is like so underground and rather far ahead of it's time...I feel that she may be a star producer of the future.

http://soundcloud.com/ninasoul/nina-soul-relax-your-body

Maceo Plex & Jon Dasilva – Love Somebody Else

Jon Dasilva - remember him?  No probably not.  He did something once.

And he has done something again - combining funky house girlie vocals with Maceo’s fabulous basslines.

Lovely.  But funky.  Dare you?

Terranova - Paris Is for Lovers

This is a beautiful romantic house music song written about being in love with that famous hotel heiress, Vanessa Travelodge.

Monday, 8 October 2012

Paolo Rocco - That I Am (Point G Remix)

Just a really good house track which does sound a little like it might have been made in a fishbowl.

Ricardo Villalobos – Samma

Tripped out minimalism from Ricardo's new album, Dependant And Happy, which I assume will be delivered to me by Santa soon.  Dark and moody like the grey skies of today.

Sunday, 7 October 2012

Clouds – Optic

Perfect way to start a techno mix.  I might just do so.  Intent and destruction.  With a touch of anger.

Lazaro Casanova - DeLorean's Groove (Manik Retro Mix)

This is a really groovy and slightly funky vocal house track for living in the future.

Saturday, 6 October 2012

Chris Carrier - Planet Patrol

Chunky house with a hip-hop influence right through.  Could possibly send a dancefloor crazy.

DJ Koze - Abudinga

A beast of a track.  I am a huge fan of DJ Koze, I love the unpredictability of his music, straddling somewhere between deep house, minimal and tech-house, this is quite an emotive piece of music, one I think dolphins would appreciate and much as dancers, and takes that unexpected twist which ensures it is featured on my blog.

Sterac – Sitting On Clouds (Ricardo Villalobos Sittin On Klaus Remix

It is 19 minutes long.  It is a Ricardo Villalobos remix.  You will probably have already decided whether to press play or not so perhaps it is not worth too much of a description.  Hypnotic beat for 8 minutes.  Magical nothingness for 2 minutes.  Beat for 2 minutes dwindling into half a beat and then not a lot for 3 minutes.  And then yes, wham bam kapow the beat kicks in again.  If you understand it, then congratulations, you have reached a unique and special level of development in life.

Planetary Assault Systems - Sucktion

Proper relentless strobe-light techno that just builds and builds to insanity.  It does remove the need for men in white coats for a while but only to lull you into a false sense of techno security.

A perfect early morning wake-up call.  Hope my neighbours like techno.

Wednesday, 3 October 2012

Mercedes Sosa – Corazon Libre 17, Sacame Chacarera

I would not have discovered this on my own, Guti finished his Essential Mix with it.  I may have the name incorrectly detailed too.  I imagine it to be a traditional South American romantic piece, perhaps a woman whose husband has left her.  I could always google it for more information but I prefer my imagination.  I have nothing like this at all in my collection.

It is quite beautiful and only two and a half minutes of your life.

I'm not going soft, I'll find some techno.  Sorry.

Dexter Kane & Gav Memnos – Dirty Cash

I’ve definitely heard more than one remix/re-edit of the original this track is based on this year, but this is the only one I have been able to put an artist and name to, and it is the only one that retains a good level of underground house credibility and doesn’t overdo the recognisable elements such as the vocals.

Monday, 1 October 2012

Magic Mountain High - Workshop XX A1

This is as devastating as minimal techno can get, a constant rolling groove, teasing in and out at times - as much as my top tunes blog may have had a reasonably recent proliferation of vocal-based more accessible tunes, I still love this kind of stuff and it is inevitable I will backlash against vocals one day and be purely all about good underground house/techno.

Zoo Brazil - Slob (Nick Curly Remix)

I played this at the first Free House Project, it segways into house music really well, despite being more of a techno tune.

Tough, uncompromising and also played by Sven and Magda amongst others - massive tune.

Saturday, 29 September 2012

Mr Flagio - Take A Chance

Do you ever worry that a whole genre of amazing music has passed you by?

I know so little about Italo-disco, perhaps because according to Wikipedia, it was never popular in the UK unlike much of Europe.  Or perhaps because I was about 3 years old when it was it it's peak.

This is just an absolutely magic track that sounds nothing like anything produced nowadays, from 1983, a whole 29 years ago.  Shocking.  Very electronic, very disco, very synthesised.

Mark Broom – Sq18 (Rave Mix)

As it suggests, modern day rave.

Thursday, 27 September 2012

Hrdvsion - Prettier Than That

I'm sure I will upset techno purists with this label.  Up yours snobs!

It starts gentle and then has a break-down of the kind you might expect in an electro track before coming back in with some gorgeous thuds, its a slightly broken, jagged feel with the male and female vocals (almost sounds like a remixed pop vocal), followed by another breakdown and it kicks back in like a monster.

Wow.

Makam - What Ya Doin'

First heard on the Nina Kraviz Essential Mix, a rough and ragged tech-house gem, one to shake up a sclerotic dance floor and a slightly different sound to what is popular right now.

Dusky – Flo Jam

This is a fantastic underground house groove, it is all about the groove, no big bassline, no proper vocals, just nice uplifting deep house.

Rhadoo – Bau

I don’t find much minimal now that I am into but this is a really good hypnotic percussive groove from one of the very highly regarded Romanians.

Martin Roth – Beautiful Life

Nice big bassline, lovely sweeping synths, probably would be just as good or even better without the vocal snippets but this is a lovely bit of house music.

Tuesday, 28 August 2012

Butane – A Rave Mistake

A creepy little minimal track which really does nothing at all for the first 5 minutes but then slowly creaks its way into life to make the soundtrack of your late night graveyard walk.

Yoshitaca – Whagt

This is the best deep house track I have heard in a while, it just sounds really nice like a field full of white rabbits and virgins, with some random samples.

PBR Streetgang – At Dez

This is wonderful underground house music, kept very simple, but sounds very effective.

Wednesday, 22 August 2012

MANIK - Amber Knife

Another day, another MANIK track, they are really doing it for me at the moment, great bassline, great drum patterns, just a really good groovy house track.

Out on Ovum Recordings.

Tuesday, 21 August 2012

MANIK I Got Us

Yes you've heard it all before, big bassline, sumptuous melody and vocal snippets but this is just wow, proper goosebumps kind of track, I am so in love with this.

So much good stuff coming out from MANIK, nearly everything they do is on the ball.

Available on Ovum Recordings.

Sunday, 12 August 2012

Untold - Motion The Dance

Proper dark disturbed techno with a really good bassline.  Don't listen to it if you are emotionally fragile!

Andrés - New For U

Wow - this is lovely, very melodic, quite upbeat house track.  Very summery.

Sante - Mothership

Another really fantastic groovy bit of underground house music, yes!

tINI - My Shine (Carl Craig Remix)

I have recently become a huge fan of tINI for her DJing, I haven't really discovered her productions yet until now, the original is ordinary, but this remix by the revered Carl Craig is superb, pulsing underground house track with nice percussion and a great beat.  Super stuff.

Donna Allen - Serious (Special Extended U.S. Mix)

Incredibly cool piece of German electro from the 80's, with a vocal that you will recognise and a delightful 11 minutes long.

David August - On My Mind

This is a pretty simple groove really, never really getting out of second gear but it is sublime.

Andre Lodemann - Where Are You Now?

This is a real quality underground tech-house track, starts really seriously with some intention and grows into a monster, changing direction at times with various synth stabs.

Wednesday, 8 August 2012

Junior Boys - You'll Improve Me (Caribou Remix)

I really like the quirkyness of this house track - Caribou's remixes and own tracks are all unique and have these unexpected sounds in them.

It's definitely different.

Madato - She Dancer

Kind of like disco tech-house, which would make sense seeing as Magda played it.  It is rather a stand out track and one of those love it or hate it tracks.

Available on Items & Things.

Tuesday, 24 July 2012

Kerri Chandler - Back To The Raw (Ruff Remix)

This is proper house music, by a long-standing top-notch producer.  It is as the title helpfully suggests, a way to get back to a more raw sound of house, and this would go down well in any underground house music floor.  Oh yeah.

Wednesday, 18 July 2012

Soul Clap - Let It Go

Got to love a bit of Soul Clap.  Not everyone's cup of tea as the music is sllllooooowwwww but I love it that way and this is groovy...and definitely for a dark corner to dance slowly to...delicious.

Tuesday, 17 July 2012

Bushwacka!, Just Be - Hold On, Wait A Minute

This is an underground bomb.  Nice gentle build up with some excellent drum craps which eventually gets quite intense and the drop - lovely!  If by lovely I mean devastating.

Good stuff Mr Bushwacka!

Out on Get Physical.

Sunday, 15 July 2012

Clockwork & Avatism - Hail (Avatism Remix)

This slow house track is dark, moody and wants to steal your soul.  I suggest you allow it to.

PillowTalk - The Real Thing

I'm a big fan of Pillow Talk - I don't get to hear enough of their stuff as it is too slow to fit in most average DJ sets.

I didn't expect much from an edit of a soul record, as I know nothing about soul music (sorry, I was born in 1980, not 1950) but this was like wow, when it breaks down into the soul track it is such a good feeling, oh yeah :-)

I recommend giving it a whirl.

Nikola Gala - Only

I really like what Nikola Gala does, doing what his country Greece should have done many a year ago by keeping it simple, minimal, but upbeat with longevity.

Definitely one to watch for the future.  This is a really good tech-house track that keeps on giving.  I just really like his tracks - check out the previously mentioned Dope Beat too, that is amazing.

Blond:ish - Lonely Days (Hunter-Game Remix)

Really nice summery house, perfect for England.  Relaxed and slow but definitely a dancefloor groover.

Saturday, 14 July 2012

Jimmy Edgar - This One's For The Children

Ah the return of robotic electro music that sounds good, sounds fresh and sounds modern - a big welcome back to electro!  None of that ra ra ra wub crap.

Tennis - Make It Good (Larry Heard Vocal Remix)

This is a really good underground house remix, and it is about time someone as revered and established as Larry Heard had a mention on my blog.

Actually, I spent the whole 8 minutes dreaming of spending time with those two girls.  Didn't even switch the speakers on.

George Morel - Lets Groove

Someone must have played this recently to remind me of it's 90's beauty, just when I was getting really desperate to go to nightclubs - kind of like garage but house at the same time.  Makes me want to start up a vinyl collection!

Thursday, 14 June 2012

Phil Weeks - Do That Dance

My discovery of the day, a nicely twisted acid house track with a solid kick drum behind it, really one to send you wild.

Wednesday, 13 June 2012

Cobblestone Jazz - Memories (From where you are) pt.1

It's been a while since a really good Cobblestone Jazz track came out - probably since the minimal era of 2006/07 but this is superb, warm, nicely layered, this is a truly lovely relaxing warm-up track that really stands out.  And then takes an unexpected twist.

Super stuff and I really want to play it.  Discovered by hearing Sven play it, which you wouldn't believe if you have been subject to the ferocity of much of his techno this year!

Tuesday, 12 June 2012

Liberty City - Some Lovin'

I love it when I discover something from years ago which works so well now, this is a chunky kind of sounding house track with fantastic vocals, way back from 1992.

Discovered thanks to the amazing Dinky.

Jared Wilson - This Love

Finally!

I have been searching this for ages thanks to that damsel Nina Kraviz and I am so happy to have found it - it is like a cross between acid house and techno and is proper twisted.

This has to go on a mix of mine asap.

Wednesday, 6 June 2012

Climbers - Go With The Flow

I don't really know much about this but it has a beautiful voice behind it and a superb slow house groove, I really would love to hear this on a dancefloor.  Maybe I will play it?

Tuesday, 29 May 2012

Liberty City - That's What I Got (Maceo Plex Remix)

This is hot, a Maceo Plex house remix, well more of an edit but it is hot, has a good bassline and great kick to it and refashions and older style of house music.

A long way away from a release sadly.  Only on Soundcloud at the moment so it must be special.

http://soundcloud.com/sleazy-sense/maceo-plex-you-got-to-dance

Monday, 28 May 2012

Dj Sneak - Boogie Allright

Sometimes DJ Sneak comes out with an absolute cracker of a tune - this one is really kind of funky and summery - oh and he hates the Swedish House Mafia.

Good stuff.

Sunday, 27 May 2012

Ultrasone - Breathe N Pop

I love this track for all the elements in it, got lots of disco twinges, a good bassline, good kick, good drums - it is just a really good dancing music track, I do like it a lot.

Nhan Solo - For My Friends (Whodini Edit)

I love this track, I have been searching for it for about 6 months and have given up and just left it to the original hip-hop track.  The vocals have a really good meaning to them, and the house track just lifts you up.

Quality and with depth and meaning too.  Spot on.  I cannot believe that this isn't much bigger than it is.

Moodymann - Shades of Jae

Ooh I have just worked out what this is, finally!  Such a tease of a house track, it brings it up only to not bring the beat in so many times, or just for a little bit of time until finally wham yes we can go for it - very clever, I do like a bit of musical teasing!

Wolfgang Voigt - Kafkatrax 3.2

Yes, this is the kind of track I have been looking for recently, a slowly brooding, plodding German techno track by someone I have never heard of but I really like his name.

It is much slower than techno is normally but it has all the charisma and charm of techno.  Yummy.  Definitely music for tomorrow.

Thursday, 24 May 2012

Stimming - Challenge The Air

Wow, this is beautiful, very relaxed, simple and deep - the simplicity is definitely the beauty.

Love it.

Hiem - Zombie Party (Konrad Black Remix)

I found this on an Art Department tracklisting (who have gone rather quiet) - this is a really good chugging, underground minimal kind of tech thing - I have been craving something much more underground recently with the avalanche of vocals.  Not a vocal in sight.

Wednesday, 23 May 2012

Phreek Plus One - Passion (DJ T. Remix)

I don't really know who this artist is, but I certainly know who DJ T is and he really gives this track a touch of class, really nice house track but with a kind of minimal structure.  Won't make you go crazy, more one for the early part of the night, or even the living room.

Out on the magnificently named, Compost Records.

Clockwork - Things You Have

This is lovely slow groovy underground house, with a good bassline and some light wooshyness, available on Phonica Records.

Friday, 18 May 2012

Exercise One - Top Score

Yes.  Oh yes.

This is deep rumbling basslines, angry, dirty with electronic blips and a realisation.

This is very interesting techno.

Available on Cocoon.

Tuesday, 15 May 2012

Puente & Rosch - This Feeling

You'll have heard tunes like this before especially if you have been reading the blog but I'm still a sucker for a brilliant bassline and this has one for sure and is just a groovy kind of slowish house track.

Thursday, 10 May 2012

Sasse - Perc (Huxley Remix)

This is a really cool track, heard it played by Robert James, it is definitely deep house but takes an unexpected twist - I'm not going to ruin the surprise.

Thursday, 3 May 2012

John Talabot - So Will Be Now

This is slow.  It is meaningful.  And excitable.  Definitely a track you can get into, with a fantastic breakdown.

Wednesday, 25 April 2012

Kraak & Smaak - Let's Go Back (Solomun Remix)

Wow what a beautiful house track remixed by very much the house DJ/remixer de jour - Solomun - who will be one of the highest DJs on the 2012 RA DJ Chart - mark my words.

Almost spine-tinglingly good.

Nearly broke out into a dance when I heard it the other day at work.
