Kraak & Smaak - Let's Go Back (Solomun Remix)

Wow what a beautiful house track remixed by very much the house DJ/remixer de jour - Solomun - who will be one of the highest DJs on the 2012 RA DJ Chart - mark my words.

Almost spine-tinglingly good.

Nearly broke out into a dance when I heard it the other day at work.

Adana Twins - Everyday

A good house track that builds up and has a lovely drop that I didn't expect, and just some definite "yeah!" kind of sounds and shit going on.

My explanations are getting worse, aren't they?  I blame the lack of narcs.

Maceo Plex - Deez Nuts

Like most of what Maceo Plex does, this is indeed the nuts - a nice fairly deep but definitely groovy, sexy house track - bound to cause a kerfuffle on a dancefloor.

Zod - Rise Before Zod

Oh yeah I like this a lot, good chunky kind of tech-house track and nicely underground too - none of these over-saturated sexy vocals that too many tracks have now, the kind of underground feel I am beginning to crave once more.

Louie Fresco - Owl Night

Louie Fresco is another name which is cropping up more and more with some lovely house music, slightly slow and quite underground, still accessible though like a prostitute.

Gavin Herlihy - Endless Feeling

Gavin Herlihy has been slowly improving over the years, I slightly dispute whether I should be listing his music given that I had an argument with him over Facebook once but that was about 2 years ago so I might let it slide!

Anyway this is a good dollop of deep sounding house.

Marc Houle - Undercover (Bruno's Electric Blanket Dub)

A re-appearance for minimal in my top tunes blog - this has some really nice sounds in and plods along in a minimal way.  Kind of sounds like cardboard being wobbled and a cheese-grater on tin.

Out on the label where Marc Houle (and others) escaped to get out of Richie's claws, Items and Things.

PBR Streetgang - Downstroke

This is just a really good four to the four house track with an excellent but simple groove, just like they use to do back in the old days.

Available on Hot Creations - and no it doesn't sound like their average affair.

Trickski - Good Time To Pray (Soul Minority Remix)

Really good deep house, is almost an oxymoron in my eyes - yes there is lots of nice deep house, even some really nice deep house, but rarely does it grab me enough to want to dance to it, albeit still in a fairly head-nodding kind of way.

This is really good deep house, even my deep house fanatic friend Dan might approve though the vocals might be a touch too much for him?

Marcel Dettmann - Deluge

I don't often find a techno track to list on here nowadays which is a bit of shame.  This is an uncompromising monster from the imperious Marcel Dettmann, who is always worth a listen, and some high pitched noises make it more interesting than the average techno track.

Fur Coat - You and I

Hmm this is yummy house music too, with female vocals this time and the usual scrumptious bassline.

And guess what label it is on?

Yes, Crosstown Rebels, possibly the most on fire label ever.
