This just sounds like any old mid to late 2000's predictable dirty house track to start with but after the breakdown a lovely trancey synth comes over it and completely captivates the whole track.
I did say trance was coming back! Then again this was released in 2007.

Aquarius Heaven - Can't Buy Love
Ooh I love this, discovered it on the Art Department Essential Mix, really quite slow, kind of house but probably a little closer to rnb – “you can pay for sex…” so the song goes but I don’t have a job so this isn’t something I can afford at the moment.

Hollis P Monroe - I'm Lonely (Laura Jones Remix)
It's taken a couple of listens but I just love this remix of a true bona fide vocal house classic.
Much slower and deeper than the original.

Bazar - Hard To Find ( Maceo Plex Funk Drop )
Boooooooom! The sound of the devastating bass, Maceo Plex style. Apart from that rather noticeable bit, it is quite a groovy danceable house track – no vocals!!

Carl Craig vs. Johnny Blas - Picadillo (Carl Craig 12'' Mix)
This is a track truly like no other.
It is so beautiful and so amazing that I am not going to tell you anything about it for fear of ruining it in advance and giving you expectations.
A must listen.
Apparently Ricardo Villalobos played it at fabric the Sunday morning just gone...and I chose not to go that night. Idiot!

Parallel Dance Ensemble - Shopping Cart
A 3 minute track on my blog! This is like some kind of quirky pop tune, bit of an electro feel to it and quite catchy. Will I like it next week? Unlikely, so enjoy it before I delete it.

Hot Natured - Class
I clearly am still a sucker for this kind of music, perhaps not as much as this time last year. It does need to stand out in some way.
I don't need to describe the Hot Natured sound do I?

Pillowtalk - Heavens Gate
Hmm this is lovely, really slowed down house to silly levels with a hint or rnb and more than a touch of 80's electro - some great sounds in this.
Out on the fabulous Wolf & Lamb

Genius Of Time - Houston We Have a Problem
A really good deep house track, it has been around for the best part of the year but I have only just discovered the name, a real nice smooth kind of groove, perfect for laying by a pool in Ibiza.

I’m a really big fan of DJ Koze’s work, it is very subtle, quiet and minimal with unexpected sounds here and there. Lovely.

Eric Johnston - Waiting For Weird
I've been searching for this track for about 3 years now and finally I have come across it - first heard on a Len Faki mix from a while back, when I was into techno and this is a cracking builder of a minimal track with a devastating bassline - perfect for building into some evil.

Nice bassy garage, really old-school sounding like 1997 style but so 2011. Out on a label called Numbers.

Infinity Ink – Games
I am a big fan of this, though it isn’t anything new, it was done over and over in 2011 but it hits all the right vocal house notes for me.

Tanner Ross - 4U (Deniz Kurtel Remix)

Maceo Plex - Under The Sheets
Another month, another superb Maceo Plex tune – slightly dreamy house feel, nothing too underground, and yes he wants you under the sheets – when I am DJing out one day, if I play this I will remember to sing the words only to young women. I will not sing it if I play a gay bar. In fact, I won’t play it.

Cajmere – God Sent
The first half of this track is a very vocal-led disco-house track, from Jamie Jones’ fabric CD – and so groovy and cool – the second half warbles on and loses interest but the first half of it is so good, it had to be listed. Incidentally, only the first half of the track is on said fabric CD!

Moodymann - Live in La 1998
This is actually back from 2003 but it seems to have passed me by until now, a dark chugging house tune with plenty of piano stabs. Available on Peacefrog.

Azari & III - Reckless With Your Love (Tiga Remix)
I used to be a massive fan of Tiga say 8 years ago. But then I got bored and he went a bit rubbish.
I am a huge fan of the camp Azari & III (check out a picture of them) - would love to see them live.
This is Tiga on form though, not taking too much away from the original and adding his touch, it is house music, with a hint of electro.
There is a little bit of Tiga talking on there though - I used to listen to his occasional podcasts, I quite enjoy the way he talks with his slow Canadian drawl and unplanned mumblings.
