This just sounds like any old mid to late 2000's predictable dirty house track to start with but after the breakdown a lovely trancey synth comes over it and completely captivates the whole track.

I did say trance was coming back!  Then again this was released in 2007.

Ooh I love this, discovered it on the Art Department Essential Mix, really quite slow, kind of house but probably a little closer to rnb – “you can pay for sex…” so the song goes but I don’t have a job so this isn’t something I can afford at the moment.

Carl Craig vs. Johnny Blas - Picadillo (Carl Craig 12'' Mix)

This is a track truly like no other.

It is so beautiful and so amazing that I am not going to tell you anything about it for fear of ruining it in advance and giving you expectations.

A must listen.

Apparently Ricardo Villalobos played it at fabric the Sunday morning just gone...and I chose not to go that night.  Idiot!

Tanner Ross is a name increasingly on my radar, as is the remixer Deniz Kurtel, this is a lovely slow piece of vocal, emotive house, and will be on my third DJ mix when it is eventually released.

Another month, another superb Maceo Plex tune – slightly dreamy house feel, nothing too underground, and yes he wants you under the sheets – when I am DJing out one day, if I play this I will remember to sing the words only to young women.  I will not sing it if I play a gay bar.  In fact, I won’t play it.

Cajmere – God Sent

The first half of this track is a very vocal-led disco-house track, from Jamie Jones’ fabric CD – and so groovy and cool – the second half warbles on and loses interest but the first half of it is so good, it had to be listed.  Incidentally, only the first half of the track is on said fabric CD!

Azari & III - Reckless With Your Love (Tiga Remix)

I used to be a massive fan of Tiga say 8 years ago.  But then I got bored and he went a bit rubbish.

I am a huge fan of the camp Azari & III (check out a picture of them) - would love to see them live.

This is Tiga on form though, not taking too much away from the original and adding his touch, it is house music, with a hint of electro.

There is a little bit of Tiga talking on there though - I used to listen to his occasional podcasts, I quite enjoy the way he talks with his slow Canadian drawl and unplanned mumblings.
