This is proper deep house, a slow but chunky beat, a chink of a repeated vocal stab and a warm glowing feel - perfect first track for a night.

Enzo Siragusa & Liefko - In My Head

I heard this track about a year ago and fell in love, especially with the story told over the fittingly emotive moody underground beats.

Enzo Siragusa can do no wrong in my book.

Les Dance – Jean Claude Gavri Retouch

Oh yes let’s dance, the coolest track on my blog and in my ears for weeks, you will know it and could love it (though a few will hate it).  Take me to Pike’s.

Senor Coconut – Electrolatino (Ricardo Villalobos Lecktro Carino Mix)

15 minutes of Latin-inspired minimal with this unique sound that is just only describable as a Villalobos sound.

Dominik Eulberg – Opel Tantra

How good is it to listen to respectable trance again?  Is it the growing economy in the UK that makes it feel good?  Last time I loved trance was 2003/04 and then back around 1997/98 and both times we had a growing/booming economy.  Feel good times and feel good tunes are back.

Benjamin Damage & Doc Daneeka - Battleships (Sasha Involv3r Remix)

One of those rare Sasha-sounding melodic progressive beauties that appear from time to time, normally every time Sasha makes a new Involv3r mix as he has.

DJs Pareha – Tacha

I love the dramatic synth stabs on this, there is a real energy and a groove.

Yazoo – Don’t Go (Re-re-mix)

I love a bit of 80’s electro and this remix strips out the vocals (mostly) for a real audience teaser.

Lone – Airglow Fires

Fruity like a Madeira cake, this has a somewhat broken beat synth over a house beat and is oozing warmth.  And sounds that little bit different.  Top production.

Robosonic & Adana Twins – La Fique

Remember funky house?  Well it still exists, most of it is shite but now and again a rose rises through the manure like this future classic to be played at Revolution in 2017.

The Mole – Lockdown Party (DJ Sprinkles Crossfaderama)

Groovy, party house and beautifully long.  More charm than a Camden Town weed seller.

Ryan Elliott – Stepmode

Wow.  Edgy tech-house with purpose and drive, perfect for sending the dancefloor into a strobe-light fizz.

Agoria – Scala

How good a producer is Agoria?  Another wow production, the haunting whispers growing into a sweepingly beautiful deep trance track.  A lovely piano breakdown and when the beat comes back in – as lush as a pork and apple sausage roll.

Apollonia – Visa Americain

These guys are absolutely on fire with their fabulously addictive house grooves.

Charlie – Spacer Women

First one I have added for a while but worth the wait I think.

Italo Disco is amazing, so cool, totally influenced by Donna Summer and you can see why in this kind of track.  Just 30 years old and feels so fresh and space-like in its modernity.

Guti & Luca Bacchetti – Loneliness

A standard uninspiring minimal tribal house track, turns beautiful and emotional with this epic beauty of a piano breakdown.  Hairs on end.

Seb Zito – Sunday Morning

Underground house with feeling and a sumptuous bassline.  Like chocolate gateaux with bacon wrapped around it.

Mano Le Tough – Primative People (Tale Of Us Remix)

I cannot recommend Tale Of Us highly enough for their varied and really interesting productions, this is an epic with a subtle but lovely bassline, background melodies and indie-style vocals.  Pigeon-holed for the sake of it but comes somewhere between deep house, progressive house, tech-house and deep trance.  Take your pick.  Or better listen click play and enjoy.

Robert Hood – Black Technician (UR Mad Mike Remix)

OK I might get barred from Detroit for mentioning the Underground Resistance so don’t look them up or listen to any of their music other than this which has a lovely squelchy beat and drawn-out strings.  Groovy techno.

Glimpse – True South

Lovely sounding tribal drums with snippets of the very now garage sound, but kept underground.  Anyone want to add some vocals?  Then you know where the gate to hell is.

Mood II Swing – Ohh

A few years old but I have only just discovered it thanks to the fantastic Apollonia, this is a soulful summery deep house tune before deep house became everything it actually isn’t.

Melchoir Productions – In The Spirit

This is the kind of minimalism dreams are made of, a dancefloor at the most minimal hour of 6am, making minimal movements, with sexy babes wearing minimal clothes.

Italoboyz – Digger Bick

Rocking and funky monster of a tech-house track.  Massive, massive, massive - this would go off!

Moodymann – Why Do U Feel

Slightly different to my usual tastes, a soulful house track but with an underground and slightly unusually patterned beat.  A moment of peace.

Hot Since 82 - The End

I have a feeling that I will be posting an increasing amount of deep trance tracks now the economy is recovering - this has those blissful melodic strings that I have not missed at all until recently before going back into a deep house track.

Dubfire is the most dull DJ I have heard in a long time but still retains the capacity to produce a storming techno track, especially when in cohorts with Oliver Huntemann.

Theo Parrish is a class act and this is one classy funkin mother.  I think I have found a weapon of mass destruction.

Ghettozoid – Boy Toy (House of Black Lanterns Remix)

This is sick.  Lovely deep sinister bassline, on fabric’s new label.  And it notches up the levels of darkness towards the end too.  Not quite sure about the lyrics – any overly manly DJ will avoid it!

Navid Izadi – Feelin’ Purple (Soul Clap Remix)

The best boss I ever had was obsessed by Prince.  I find such re-edits rather cool and I have obsessively listened to this 3 times in a row.  Very cool.

Clockwork & Chasing Kurt – Running Searching

I don’t post many vocal-heavy bassline-gorged tracks nowadays but this is a fabulous little ditty with an unexpected pleasant little ending.  A set starter.

Kris Wadsworth – It’s Time

Detroit shit.  As cool as a dilapidated multi-storey car park in winter.  An understated monster.

Chris Tietjen & Ricardo Villalobos - TV Watching

Absolutely beautiful and charming, a track with such a dreamy melodic quality and those really warm, individual beats seemingly unique to Ricardo.  A stunning breakdown - would be most fitting for Cocoon closing on the terrace in Ibiza as the last track.

Also a 15 minute version but I actually prefer the shorter one.

Paranoid London – Paris Dub 1

This is simply a great underground house track, moving and emotional with a superb vocal.

Jesse Perez – Interracial Booty Calls

Got to love a bit of jacking house with a cool 80’s edge.  And of course an inter-racial booty call.

Omar S – It’s Money In The D

Gloriously melodic tech-house to finish a night on a glow, gliding you away to a realm of flowers and bubbles.

Magda – Late Night Woodward

Yes, yes yes.  I love Magda and her quirky kind of minimal style.  Everyone needs a bit of Magda in their life.

Daft Punk - Da Funk (Catz N Dogz Remix)

Oh Wow.  Da Funk with violins.  Massive but understatedly cool too.  Finally a reason to like Daft Punk again.

This is one grooving monster especially with the subtle piano-based breakdown.

Groovy rave synth with an acid twist, I might have to play this one day to try to spin the dancefloor.  Shame it is only 6 minutes long as this could go much further.

Really energetic techno, kind of similar tempo to what Ricardo surprised us with at fabric very recently.

One very addictive minimal loop with the word ‘freaks’ occasionally.

Mark Reeve – Planet Green

Techno for repeatedly rolling around in mud with Vikings.  Bosh.

Julien Bracht – Acheronian

This is such a Sven track.  A growling, rumbling monster like the belly of John Prescott.

Daniel Bell – Science Fiction

I love music with sirens, I am drawn to sirenetic tracks like fraudsters are drawn to working in Italian politics.

Regal - Pulzar

Twisted acid techno stomper.  Turn it up loud.

Brassroots – Good Life

This is a brass band version of Inner City’s house classic.  Superb.  Impossible not to like this

Sha Lor – I’m In Love

This is uber-cool, a disco feel house track about being in love, sounding very 80’s.  Such a catchy hook.  I guess she sings it about gravy.  It does drift a little towards the finish but doesn’t detract from a very cool beautiful track.

Johnwaynes – Wet

There is only one thing this track is about and it isn’t rain.  Hot, dirty little secret house track.

Fafa Monteco - Disco CIty

This reminds me of the disco-house sounds that I used to dance to in the late 1990's, really happy feeling, filtered house.  Something Daft Punk's forebears may have made.

Mount Kimbie – William (Tama Sumo & Prosumer Remix)

This is very classy.  An almost orchestral piece of minimal by two of Berlin’s typically underhyped heroes.

Marcus Vector & Jay Haze – Get Up The Street

Taking you places you can’t see.  Delicious underground house music.

Exercise One & Mathew Jonson – Lost Forever In A Happy Crowd

Epic.  Mathew Jonson is the king of epic.  And this has that characteristic in bucket loads.  Sounds like Sasha at his best.

Umo Detic - Fahrenheit

Uplifting techno for a marching band of party animals.  A rather fast tempo for my standards.

Nina Kraviz – Ghetto Kraviz (Steve Rachmad Jack Mix)

I love the original, pure filth and this is a slightly more pumped up remix with a killer which needs to be destroyed with an industrial blender.

Eric Martin – Emergency (Steve Poindexter Re-edit)

This is a love or hate track.  A what the fuck is going on kind of track which degrades into an odd beat pattern with distorted sirens, computer bleeps and comforting rumblings.  A total bugger to dance to.

Nina Kraviz – Working (Marcellus Pittman Remix)

This starts unassuming but turns into a techno groover.  Nina started her recent Boiler Room mix with it and it is a perfect starting tune.

M.A.N.D.Y & Booka Shade – Oh Superman (Robags Pumper-Nikkel Remix)

There was a time when M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shade were absolutely at the forefront of electronic music and well in front of many with their respective accessible brands of catchy minimal.  Booka Shade in particular sound tired and dated now but this remix by the excellent Robag Wruhme is a beast.  A chugging beauty.

DJ W!ld - Gorilla

Chunky house track obviously about gorilla's learning how to use tools for the first time.

Totally bananas.

tINI – Medusa Meets Jack

This is really miserable.  So miserable that I just had to make it a top tune.

The guide to having an easy life in minimal techno format.  I have been looking for this for a long time but without making any extra effort than strictly required to ensure it fell into my lap.  D.E.

Mike Dehnert – Umlaut2 (Levon Vincent’s NY Basement Mix)

I do love the work of Levon Vincent, there is always something really classy sounding about his productions and this is no exception, an excellent remix with dancefloor destroying potential but just oozing in class like sniffing coke from an expensive hooker’s bum.

Favourite track right now and it went down very well when I played it at Time2Groove on Saturday.

Julien Chaptal – Eat Ya Foe

If house music was a breeze block this is what it would look like.  Or is that sound like?

dOP – After Party (Clockwork Remix)

This is sumptuous slow, underground house like a soft sticky chocolate fudge cake.

Tale of Us & Ryan Crosson Big Sins

I am a particularly big fan of Tale Of Us - you can never tell what the track is going to be like before you listen - this is a beautiful build up and a simple drop with lush chords throughout - a total emotional epic with various twists and turns.

Their only style is to produce excellent underground music.

Dexter Ford – Our Sun

This is proper Magda-style minimal, really cool and funky like a spacewalk in a banana suit.

Coyu – Heatwaves

I always thought Coyu did wishy washy music but this is real stand-out tech-house with a purpose, an excellent beat and clap.

Ali Love – Emperor (Maceo Plex Last Disco Remix)

Feel good house with the distinct totally nothing to do with sex by the anti-bathtub sound of Maceo.  Or Eric to some.  Really feel good.

Tom Flynn – Do You Like Bass

This is a really addictive but fairly simple house track, made for dancing to.

Just a really good house track.

.G - Underwater

Sometimes you can decide that you love a track after hearing 2 beats and this is one of those rare occasions.  Such a feeling of warmth over a somewhat forceful house beat.  Beautiful.

Urulu & Steve Huerta – Things I Didn’t Mean

Sugar sweet garage with a bassline of kick-ass proportions - mixing fruit salads with a blackjack.

Boris Werner – Set It Off

This is a clever warm-up house track, a teasing, tantalizing beast – like the broken air conditioning unit in your boiling hot office that starts whirring but just teases you with warm air.  The Makam remix is excellent and ups the drama.

A.Mochi – Squeal 3

The beast from Japan.

Omar-S – Triangulum Australe

This is brilliant.  Little more than a tense serious of hospital bleeps.

Enjoy – Seawall (Ricardo Villalobos Remix)

Remember hard house?  If you speed this up 10bpm it sounds like hard minimal.

Just need a touch of imagination, my friends.

Ricardo Villalobos – Hansup

I listened to this minimal beauty for 2 hours consistently when Margaret Thatcher died.  Both Maggie and Ricardo are true heroes of mine, both have had a monumentally positive impact upon my life although for slightly different reasons.  Another complete beauty of epic proportions with a particularly incredibly charming breakdown.  Excellent doorbells too.

Others – Dope Me

Such tough decisions.  Is it minimal or is it underground house?  I think this is closer to minimal, could imagine Ricardo play this but also tINI.  It is really laid back but groovy, with little bits of percussion and odd-sounding piano plinks.  Wonderful.

T.W.I.C.E – Round & Brown (Jun Akimoto & Ittetsu Remix)

I listened to this 5 times in a row, mostly because I kept getting interrupted at work by work.  I love this slow and crawling underground house, with a slightly dark and moody sound.  Hotter than a kangaroo’s backside.  Becoming a huge fan of Ittetsu.

tINI – Room 305

It doesn’t do too much but that is the beauty of it, harmonious rounded percussion stabs and minimal vocals.

Green Velvet & Harvard Bass - Lazer Beams

This is so much of a nuclear weapon that I could almost be tempted not to put this up here as it is a total dancefloor destroyer.  So good I am not going to say anything more about it - just listen and if you are a DJ play it and watch destruction like you are watching televised war.

Rufus Wainwright – Tiergarten (Supermayer Lost In The Tiergarten Mix)

This is 13 and a half minitues of magical musical beauty, the vocals kind of remind me of something from a Beatles track (though not really having listened to them much I am possibly wrong), and then it goes into this twisted electronic adventure.

I'm not sure the label of 'minimal' quite does it justice.

Aumrec - Injune Inlove

Yes – this is what I want to be hearing!  Do not fuck with this record.  An absolutely tech-house smash to send the dancefloor crazy.

Tearful techno – the wonderful Nina Kraviz says it makes her cry when she plays it.  It does have a lot of sad emotion bundled up with it, I would play it on a long aeroplane journey back from being dumped by a woman I was in love with.

Deep and bouncy little house track, a catchy number.  Though it is probably too catchy to be a top tune tomorrow.

This is build up techno with the autopilot direction of the type of dirty aeroplanes that the European Union are trying to ban.  A beautiful 10 minutes long.

Groove Armada in producing something really good for the first time in 10 years instead of relying on their past success and sounding fresh and modern instead of tired and dated.  Who would have thought it?

Hans Bouffmyhre – Droning (Slam Paragraph Mix)

This is walking up a long hill techno, well a 7 minute long hill techno with the superb, classy remix from Glasgow boys, Slam.  A Scottish hill

Matthew Styles – Hot!

This is proper chunky, 80’s feeling house with a tiny hint of acid, a real twisted, dirty dancefloor freak-out track.  Truly rocks.

Vera & Ricardo Villalobos - Rambutan (Uncut Version)

This is glorious in a feeling ill sat here at my desk doing repititive administration tasks and I feel so floaty and relaxed in 23 minutes of total beauty.  Two truly minimal characters combined to produce an epic DJ going for a poo track.

Woo York – Void (Truncate Remix)

Techno with a soul, a nice warm rounded sound, this would definitely get me dancing.

Justin Martin & Pillowtalk – The Gurner

An odd pairing perhaps but odd can be beautiful, starts off an average slow house groove but suddenly switches into charming xylophone plinks and rnb style vocals and then the bassline kicks in with the computer game sounds – dancefloor heaven.

Mark Henning – Trojan

Sub-bass heaven, enough to scare a teenager - especially given that it is house music.

Nu Zau – De Vreme

This is the same repeated bar for 10 minutes, give or take a few slight amendments here, and it is absolutely beautiful and hypnotic.

Seb Zito – Land Of Plenty

This is creepy minimal.  I played it out recently - it went down well.  Albeit I was the only person listening.

Shadow Child – So High

Garage is everywhere at the moment just like benefit scroungers but unlike them it has started to contribute once more to society for the first time in 15 years and is sounding really good like this piece from Shadow Child, a recent headliner from a night in my local area, Cubed.  The Hot Since 82 remix is excellent too.

Scuba – Talk Torque

Huge fan of Scuba’s individual sounding tracks, he has a certain sound but yet all tracks of his are unique.

Tale Of Us The/Das – Fresh Water

This is just like eating horse meat by accident, if you had heard previous Tale Of Us tracks you wouldn't be expecting something this tough and up front, but from the first few bites of the beats you know you have a beauty of a beast.

Maxxi Soundsystem – Stella’s Way

This is a really clever remix - the sample is hardly used but you will recognise it.  Any more and it would be cheesy.  And has orgasm levels of filthy rolling basslines, enough to please a Liberal Democrat.

Peace Division – Blacklight Sleaze (Dyed Soundorom Remix)

This is very frigging cool, like Arctic upper air temperatures, the original was great and is now almost a classic and this brings it up to date and keeps it cool.  Fridgey.

Omar S – SEX (CGP Conant Gardens Posse Remix)

Some songs about sex are anything but sexy but this is hot, slutty, pornographic sleaze.  Slow house with an rnb twist it oozes ‘play me in a strip club’ cool.

Viadrina – Luna (Coat Of Arms Remix)

Light and airy garage.  A bit like the one on stilts in Dagenham.

Suburban Knight – The Groove

Proper ghetto house from 1987, sounds like what you would expect from Nina Kraviz however it was actually Carl Craig who introduced this to me – dark basslines and scaffolding.

Mathew Jonson – Dayz

Sometimes Mathew Jonson makes these amazing unique pieces of melodic electronic music, verging on techno though of the kind Sven plays and this is another masterpiece.

The ultra-warm bassline and Robert Owen’s unmistakable vocals make this a true classic.

Roland Appel & Christian Prommer – Return Of The Aquarius

Matthew Herbert – It’s Only (DJ Koze Remix)

With such invention as both producer and remixer you can imagine what unique beauty may be conjured up but this is miles better.  Easily my best discovery of 2013, a slightly-broken beat feel with warm sweeping synths, charming vocals and the odd bit of feedback.  Truly amazing.

The only downside is that I run out of superlatives sometimes.

Kasper Bjorke – Heaven (Nicolas Jaar Remix)

A very original beautiful track that really will send you into heaven, slow, very little reminder of dance music, lots of piano and some sweet vocals.  Best thing Nicolas Jaar has done in years.

Burial - Street Halo

Thanks to Chantelle for putting me onto this track.  I think it is called future garage, you can feel the garage similarity with the bassline, it has these dark but hopeful tones to it.

Very different to what I usually listen to and I would not have likely heard it were it not for the recommendation.

Rhadoo – Geemac

Ultra minimal.

Ittetsu – Gutterlove

This is amazing.  Fusic as tINI calls it.  Just a simple minimal house beat with a devastating but simple bassline.  And after the breakdown – wow.  Just wow.  Imagine getting a washing machine for the first time in your life.  This is what that feeling would be like.

Adriatique & Audino – All The Ladies

It’s a little cheesy and fluffy sounding but I like it, a nice slowish house groove about laser eyes or something banal but if everything I listed here was 17 minute long minimal tracks I wouldn't make it to the grand total of 10 viewers per post.
