There is a real feeling of luxury and deepness from it, almost as if it has been made for a Waitrose advert.  Gentle and drifting, just superb.

Barac is a new favourite of mine, this is a gently drifting percussive track, rather stripped back kind of house, reminds me of a leaf floating down a stream.

There is a lot of buzz about these guys, whomever they are and all I am going to say is that it has my kind of noises.

Matthew Dekay - Fangtango

A relaxing twelve minutes of warm emotive melodies.

Barac - Frou Frou

I am quickly becoming a big fan of Barac, repetitive minimal groove central, repetitive minimal groove central. repetitive minimal groove central, repetitive minimal groove central.

Da Posse - In The Heat Of The Night (Jimpster Stretchdit)

Difficult to categorise it, it has this disco feel to the vocals but then goes into acid and has a very modern house beat to it.  Great track.

Tiga - Bugatti

Tiga right back on form with this clinky electro-soaked track.  Tiga made his made producing electro monsters when electro was good, back in the early to mid-2000's - before it went all electro-house.  Rediscover electro with this very cool and catchy track.

Italoboyz & Blind Minded - Rainbow Blended

This is just the right side of crazy for me, plenty of odd noises and slightly off-kilter samples carrassed over a simple house beat.

Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge - Fur Die Liebe

Not the first deep trance wonder that I have posted by this pairing, a truly melodic piece of bliss.  Kind of the opposite of Slough.

Anonym - Hart Plaza

This is a real grower, starts off as a hypnotic dubby kind of groove, melts away for a while before coming back as a futuristic techno track, before finishing in a deep trance way - a definite journey over the 12 minutes.

Wolfgang Haffner - Melodia Del Viento (Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer Remix)

18 minujtes of immense squigliness, by the only man able to make such squigly beats of gorgeousness.  Breathing, bits of piano, random snippets of singing, taps dripping and of course, more of those infectious squigly beats.

My number 1 musical inspiration just gets better.

&ME - After Dark

This is gorgeous darkness like an ominous thunder cloud, slightly haunted vocals with a gentle melody, this is stunning.

&ME is quickly becoming one of my favourite producers.  Second time I have listed one of his tracks, the other being Purple Rain.

Rick Wade - Fade Away

Babbedabedada babbedabedada babbedadebaba, this is sunshine-filtered funky house making a comeback soon like Tab Clear.  Possibly.

Granted it was released when funky house was still popular.

You may have heard this already - sinister house music track.  "Your son is dead."  "Dead?  How?"  That goes right through me every time but this is essential listening.

Dirk Diggler - Silicone

Walking along a dark alley on a drizzly night with the eyes of a black cat staring at you in the distance as you gradually approach it, this is what this minimal techno beauty is doing to me.  Could easily be played on repetition.

Modeler - Mint Condition

Starts with a drum roll as all good minimal techno tracks should do, and has a surprise or two along the way - though the way is far too short for my liking, should be another 10 minutes long.

Gus Gus - Crossfade (Maceo Plex Remix)

With almost 500,000 views on Youtube, this is almost too popular to post.  But I love it.  I shouldn't care how popular it is.

This is a real power song - I played this and it just changed the whole dynamic of the dancefloor instantly.  Huge hit.

Virgil Enzinger - Destroyer Of Worlds (Floom Remix)

The name Virgil sounds like a devilish techno producer and this is one devilish track, with mountains of pounding energy.

DJ Le Roi - I Get Deep (Late Nite Tuff Guy Remix)

This is hot and a tiny bit sexy.  Nice underground feel house track, chugging along, ranting about getting deep and finally someone using a Fatboy Slim lyric in a good way.

Prince Of Denmark - Your Body

Dreamy, emotional end of night techno, hypnotically repeating the words "your body".  Goodnight.

Looking forward to Prince Harry's minimal remix.  Perhaps.

A dark filthy sweaty techno monster grinding away at your backside, alone in a power station.

Jeroen Search - Formalized

Creepy and dreamy but it is the hospital heart monitor bleeps that really do it for me.

Armando - 100% Of Disin You (Mike Dunn's Houze Mixx)

This is better than a party in your pants but why has it taken me 26 years to discover it?

Proper Chicago house from 1998, with sirens, whoops and a very danceable jacking style.  Turn it up loud.

Nina Kraviz - Ghetto Kraviz (Junior Pappa The Real Rocknrolla Remix)

Yet another great remix of a great track, keeping the seedyness in a somewhat more minimal chuggy style

This is delicious like apple crumble on a winter's day in front of a log fire, warming vocal house music with a fair follop of deepness and general gorgeousness.

Feel-good house music with blippy beats.

Slam - Cadence

Legendary Scottish producers, Slam, bring this proper tub-thumping beat, imagine a grizzly bear beating it’s chest along to your techno beat and you should get the picture.  Or you could listen to it.

Groovy piece of piano-laden deep house, making me dream of dancing on a slightly-dirty terrace in East London with glimmers of sunshine.

Zak Khutoretsky & DVS1 - Polyphonic Love

Melodic little techno ditty for your Monday, or whatever day you are reading this.  Brain too fried to say much else.

Imagine that you are a NASA pilot paragliding back down to earth from space for 11 minutes and 7 seconds.

Sounds like a cross between a Securicor vehicle reversing and the breaks part of a rave track.

Mike Grant - The Struggle Of My People (Mr G's There's Hope Mix)

This is gorgeous, I am sat here in Bracknell listening to this classic sounding house track, not earning enough to go to Ibiza and being reminded of how beautiful it is through this wonderful track.

Kenny Larkin - Cirque De Soul

It's the aliens are landing alarm noises that do it for me but underneath that is a quality piano house track.  Funky and twisted.

Not sure how I have only just discovered it given that it was released in 2008.

Equally dreamy yet pummelling techno, perfect to end a set with.

Adam Port & Sante - Faire Des Siennes

If you've been following me long enough, you will know I love a few weird noises that make absolutely no sense and were clearly done when the producer's brain was otherwise occupied.  A good percussive house track too.

Nick Curly - That's That

I'm not always a fan of tribal tub-thumping tech-house but this really has something to it that just makes you want get down.

Nina Kraviz - Pain In The Ass (Alexkid Remix)

Slightly creepy minimal-styled vocal-led tweety twirpy tune.  Not my best ever description but my brain is minimalised from going to fabric on Saturday.

Todd Terry - Baby Can You Reach (Acetate Version)

All this 90's style house is making a come-back, well actually it made a come back over a year ago and this slightly-garage feel house monster is an unrediscovered gem.

Got to love a spot of classic Todd Terry.

Gorgeous whispering underground house track.  Slightly sexy too, like an oil rig.

The Bucketheads - The Bomb (Armand Van Helden Re-Edit)

Surely you remember this mid-90's classic house track?  Time to bring it back.

Heartthrob - Baby Kate (Plastikman Remix)

This is a rediscovery from me, from the height of the minimal era circa 2007 - an absolute beautiful minimal monster perfect for tranquilized zombies.

Oliver Huntemann - Schatten

A mixture of tech-focused power and dreamy deep trance soundscapes, a return to form for Oliver Huntemann.

Whim-ee - You Can Amor (Seb Zito's JS Mix)

This is proper miserable, really quite dark and mournful underground house - almost as if it were made for a funeral or wake.  Real emotions behind this track.

Gloriously miserable.

The kind of techno where you are just taking it down a touch before the next peak, calming things down before sending it crazy, gorgeous track.

House People - Godfather Of House (Club Mix II)

Proper 80's Chicago house with a glistening soul, and high-pitched vocal stabs.  Was Frankie Knuckles the godfather of house music back in 1986?

Egal 3 - Fugadefuga

Enchanting hypnotic beauty, like being on a beach watching a hot young lady (or man) in a bikini walking up and down, up and down, up and down, oh and I like the name a lot - Fugadefuga.

Mano Le Tough - Return To Yoz

Another fast-rising star with a track that growls and purrs like a lion but doesn't eat you.

Maceo Plex - Conjure Sex

A woman having sex with a synth.  Assumedly an analog synth rather than digital.

FiberRoot - Space Localizer

Absolute monster of a filthbag, with mind-bending sounds sounding like a growling helicopter noise inside a tech-house kind of beat, as dirty as a Glastonbury dog.  Would be absolutely immense on a big system.

Simian Mobile Disco & Roman Flugel - Ikizukuri (Art Mix)

Falling somewhere between the deep trance and Tale Of Us kind of signature sound, a gently pulsing beast.

Francis Inferno Orchestra - Hezbolla

Swinging house music track with an element of funk to it and apparently an ode to a terrorist group.

Quilla - A Million Broken Bikes (Ricardo Villalobos & Shaun Reeves Remix)

Yet again Ricardo absolutely nails a remix, with the help of Shaun Reeves this time - not an expected combination, a gentle minimal ditty at just 5 minutes long about a load of bikes smashed up by pedestrians pissed off by pavement cyclists, or something like that.

Ivan Dbri - Jive Baby Jive

I really like this, it has a cool kind of 90's house style with some girly whoops.

Late Nite Tuff Guy - Nobody (LNTG Rework)

A slow and long blissed out version of a classic love track.  Oh yeah.

Roman Flugel - More&More&More (Serge & Tyrell Remix)

Absolutely slamming house track with a very recognisable old school sample - dancefloor devastation.

Mark Leckey - Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore

I'm breaking the rule that every post is about a tune here - this is a collection of videos from the 1970's, 80's and 90's, generally about club cultures in the UK, all patched together like a strange tapestry.

The soundtrack is interesting, beautiful in it's strangeness and obscurely odd at times.  Which is probably why I like it.

It does make a lot more sense if you watch the video too.

Moodymann – Music People

This is funky as house music, really groovy, really good times, almost can feel it being played in Revolution bars circa 2005 but is far too good.  Everything Moodymann does is just exceptional.  Is funky house making an underground comeback?

DJ Slym Fas – Luv Music

Feel good sunshine house with a little weird warbling going on under a funky sunshine filled beauty.

17 years old and counting.  Would love to hear this out.

John Roman - Petrified

A jump-up ragga-inspired mental techno track that is absolute dynamite – interestingly had the n-word removed from the original.

Out on Twin Turbo.

Margot – Magico Disco

This reminds me of LCD Soundsystem at their best, a indie-flecked electro-disco monster, clearly influenced by the likes of Moroder too.

Randomer – Curtains

I am becoming a really big fan of Randomer’s productions, this is a fairly simple stripped-back drum beat in a techno style.  It doesn’t do much but the beat is glorious.

Quite slow, a touch creepy and rather future, like the marching band of the Android Army circa 2040.

NoiDoi – Simple Strip (Rhadoo Remix)

A simple minimal percussive drum track with drops of rain, fading in and out once or twice – I have been after this for about 8 months.  Blip, blop, blip, blop, blip, blop.

Moderat – Bad Kingdom (Marcel Dettmann Remix)

I’ve already listed the learn
I'v e already remix but the vocal hook is so hauntingly beautiful that it works in a pumping techno track too.  This is so, so good.  Ends too suddenly though – it should be twice as long.

El Prevost - Allez Ally (Shonky Remix)

Allez ally allez ally allez ally ally allez - you must have heard this surely?

But if not then this is one dirty understated monster of an underground beast, just like in Tremors.

Shonky is one brilliant producer/remixer.

La Pena - My Pussy

A song about pussy especially one that has a rant about people who don't work is always good by me - a very bouncy house music track, a get people dancing track.

Xandru - Chapo

This is the most repetitive and minimal minimal track I have heard in a long time but it is beautiful and if you listen carefully a vocal faintly kicks in after 10 minutes.

Ultra-minimal.

Aquarian Foundation - Binary Raindrops

This is great, has a really out school house feel to it.

It feels like it goes on forever although it is only 6 minutes long.  Will be keeping an ear open for future productions from Aquarian Foundation.

Dense & Pika – Vomee

A good house track but has really good effects throughout which would sound amazing on a system like fabric, with a growl and some ratatats.

Kraftwerk – Sex Objekt

One of my favourite tracks to sing out loud at work.  Ashamedly I do not have that much of a grasp on the discography of the legendary Kraftwerk but am slowly gaining knowledge of their impressive volume of work and suggest that you do too.

Ich bin ein sex object.

Tessela – Hackney Parrot (Special Request VIP)

Did you know I used to be a teenage junglist?  The only one in Hull.

The return of jungle is most welcome and I greatly thank Paul Woolford – AKA Special Request.  Don’t forget to move your Ford Fiesta from the market, and please no whistles.

Moderat – Bad Kingdom (Robag Wruhme 4/4 Edit)

A slightly meloncholic and downtempo effort with elephant noises, maybe like Radiohead if they tried pills.

This is stunningly beautiful and a real grower - note the video is ripped from a set.

Sun Electric – Toninas (Ricardo Villalobos Remix)

Have I mentioned Ricardo Villalobos before?

He is just light years ahead of every single music producer I have come across, this is best described as a minimal version of Subtellite, with intricate patterns of sounds, chimes, bleeps and clicks, it is just a delight.

Johnwaynes & Disconine – Body Up

I like vinyl.  I can touch it.  I can feel it.  But I cannot afford it.  One very groovy house track.

Floorplan – Never Grow Old

A techno beat with a screaming diva over the top.  More interesting than Maria Miller's expenses claims.

Furfriend - Geck

A track about sucking cock.

Mumdance & Mao - Truth

I seem to be getting a bit of a liking for bass music - I just love the slamming beats on this track - almost like drum'n'bass for adults.

Simian Mobile Disco – Escamoles

I really like this.  It might come as a bit of a surprise to hear them doing some nice plodding tech-house but they were always talented producers and this is just good empty dancefloor music with that 11pm at fabric feel.

Randomer – Bring

Slow Techno is the next big thing after deep trance.  Trust me.  Snippets of deep house vocal with dirty tough beat.

Stiven Rivic, Michael & Levan – Priority (Pole Folder Year Of The Dragon Mix)

Drive.  Drive.  Drive over the mountains and into space, drive with the windows down flying with grace.  Power, drive and glory.

DJ Nori – Happy Sunday (Maurice Fulton Mix)

Yes.  I have been looking for this for a while, it kicks in with a notice me bassline but flips the other way with piano-based melody.  Despite being slow, it has a certain sense of urgency.

Marcus Worgull & Peter Pardeike – Lenoix

I could tell on the build up that I was going to love this track, and the melody kicks in and yes it is a beauty, sticking in the mind like the Eiffel Tower.  Power and melody.

Chris Turner – FlyLOVE (Andres Remix)

The word sublime was made for this.  Gently floating down a river during sunset with a picnic box to hand and some apple juice.  This is sublime deep house, and at a gentle pace.

Fabio Gianelli – Lost In 27 (Darius Syrossian Remix)

This is a really nice piece of house music, a Guti-esque piano breakdown and a general all-round smoothly done house feel.

Midnight Magic – Drop Me A Line

Another track that Seth Troxler has been playing recently, albeit at a faster pace than this.  Not my favourite Midnight Magic disco track (that is the amazing Beam Me Up) but such a delight nonetheless.

Ryan Crosson & Aquarius Heaven – Head Above Water

A mellow plodding affair with a drawn-out West Indian voice giving you some life advice including to give thanks to your mama and papa.

Dinky – Falling Angel

The highlight of Dinky’s recent album, Dimension D, which is a bit of a masterpiece.  Almost as much pop music as it is mellow house music, this is a real beauty.

Chaim – Blue Shadow (Guy Gerber White Isle Remake)

 I considered giving the original top tune status but this is a step further into brilliance, an mellow enchanting brooding beauty, which makes me think of birds of prey flying over the sea in Ibiza.

Mirko Loko – Love Harmonic (Carl Craig’s Soundscape Remix)

A brooding tribal techno beast that never unleashes over it’s 11 minutes but it doesn’t need to.  Luxurious remix from the master.

Michel Cleis – Mir A Nero

Michel Cleis makes these occasional stunners, including the ubiquitous La Mezcla from a few years ago (you will know it even if you don’t recall it by name) and this is one very good-feeling house track with loads of percussion and a Samba-esque feel to it.  You will hear it a lot once it is fully discovered.  But at 11 minutes you won’t hear too many DJs play it.

Kuba Sojka – You Can’t Take It

Sublime vocal deep house taking the best from what the heads know deep house to be and what all the newbies have been told deep house is.

Jimpster – Porchlight & Rocking Chairs (KiNK Remix)

A gloriously luxurious track bathed in summer warmth like a field full of buttercups and daisies.

Drumcell – Disturbance (Pfirter Remix II)

Blisteringly filthy techno, perfect for sitting at a desk, rocking backwards and forwards a few millimetres.

Der Dritte Raum – Hale Bopp

A comet-like swoosh of hypnotic melody, well ahead of it's time even for my tune discovery skills.

Bizarre Inc – Playing With Knives (Quadrant Mix)

There is a place in Hull called Quadrant.  It is as delightful as it sounds.

However it was a delight to hear this on a miserable afternoon at work, not exactly sure if the mix is any different from the original but that doesn’t matter.  It sounds good and it needs to be played loud.

Mark Broom & Brothers Vibe – Mind/Feeling (youANDme Hirsch Edit)

This has been around a few years but I have only just worked out what it is.

A really good house tune with a build-up that could and probably was played at Cocoon.  House is indeed a feeling.

Matrixman – Case Closed

Kind of sounds like Booka Shade at their best but played backwards, going into a sloth-filled sinkhole in Stoke.

Alan Fitzpatrick - Skeksis

Dark but simple, like this description.

Soul 223 – Walberswick (Hoist Covert Mix)

A sumptuous bassline breaks into a slow and soulful 12 minutes of bountiful deepness, deeper than the hatred between China and Japan.

Huxley – Inkwell

One of those house/garage crossovers with a huge bassline and some vocals.  Not especially clever but bigger than a pie.

Seb Zito – Never (Seb Zito & Rich NXT’s EnRichment)

A beautiful but rather sad and emotional piece of underground house by the Fuse guys.

Moritz Von Oswald Trio – Blue Dub

Gorgeous sparse atmospheric beats for 12 minutes, perfect for the first track, or maybe even last track in a warehouse party.

Call Super – Black Octagons

Weird, spaced out techno, the kind that used to get made in the 1990’s though of course, not as fast as back then.  Complimented by some telephone sounds (not tacky) and out on the ever-impressive Houndstooth.

Maher Daniel & Jon Charnis – Lonely Stars In Open Skies (Luca Bacchetti Endless Remix)

Clever track which uses those claps from the Villalobos Remix of The Sinner In Me (amazing track if you don’t know it) but turns into a glistening snow-swept beauty with strange overhead sounds made for an amazing sound-system.

Burnski – Lost In The Zoo (The Martinez Brothers’ Bronx Zoo Mix)

Tribal tech-house with a sense of urgency as if one is a gazelle and has just been made aware of a pack of lions nearby.

Dusky – Mr Man

This is really rather nice.  A quite slow end-of-night beauty which shows the repertoire of Dusky, a sumptuous deep house track with gentle piano steps and a subtle but effective bassline.

Nightdrivers – Quanto Tempo Ci Rimane (Fabio’s Consolation Edit)

A creepy sense of alarm following outbreak of nuclear war pervades through this underground house track.  Would have been perfect for the disturbing documentary, Threads.

PS Don't watch Threads unless you are strong-minded.

Makam – Samsara

This is a delightful deep house track, with sweeping motions, intricate beats, raindrops and beautiful occasional drums to drift you into a timeless sense of wonder.  Perfect end of the night track.

Antrim – Life To Peace (Van Bellen Mix)

Trance!  Yes.  Am I the only one to have been converted back into the deep sides of trance?  This is lush.  10 minutes is enough though.  Where is minimal trance though?

Tiga vs Audion – Let’s Go Dancing

Two awesome producers come together, one better known for electro and the other techno and produce a dancefloor monster.  I love this so much, just like I love all night dancing.

Maurice Donovan – Babeh

I’m not usually a fan of those pseudo-deep house/bass remixes but this has a sick bassline with plenty of charm.

Kavinsky – Nightcall (Maceo Plex Club Remix)

Too huge for words.

Only a set rip on Youtube at the moment.

Ten Walls – Requiem

Doesn’t take a genius to work out this will send the dancefloor crazy – that slightly kind of filtered house sound, a very suitable follow-up to the massive hit ‘Gotham’.  Not the most subtle tune I have ever listed but it will work.  Expect to hear this a lot.

tINI – Hat Baxx

This is a smash.  tINI’s usual deep, underground house, packed with subtle emotion in between the sparse percussive elements.

Mari Kvien Brunvoll - Everywhere You Go (Villalobos Celestial Voice Resurrection Mix)

A fairly standard Villalobos squidgy minimal 28 minute track with a hauntingly beautiful vocal used brilliantly, ever so faintly at first but it becomes the soulful centrepiece.

Magical.

There is a 15 minute version for those of you with less patience!
